How it all started

I Picked up a camera in highschool and haven’t put it down since! There is something so amazing watching people from a tiny viewfinder and looking at their movements in front of the camera. I was a sophomore in highschool and would carry my moms point and shoot camera to school to photography and film my friends. Most of the content is now long gone (thank goodness!) but it gave me a push to be where I am now.

Photo + Filming Process

I am a big believer in getting emotion to show across an image or a video. I know we aren’t ALWAYS happy or smiling. Sure, we can fake it but I like to encourage clients and friends to be their true selfs. Especially if they have little children. So many times when I’ve seen parents stress out in trying to get their kids to smile! It is totally acceptable to let them be KIDS. Most often, I get parents becoming child like themselves during a session and THAT’S my goal…to get a fun, child like experience out of a photo session.

The same with a wedding; I am a candid documenter. I like getting the good and the bad of a wedding event. Happy tears, sad tears, all the hugs, kisses, smiles and laughter… A wedding is a ROLLERCOASTER of emotions and I am so happy to ride along.
